FYI, Becca will be coming down here on Saturday to spend spring break week with us, but I'll try to log in when I can.

Cool! Drew and I were on most of the day yesterday. I think we were on our farmers until about 9PM last night. I was on Jermite (so search for Germs or Jerms). You can also search for Pest... I think his mains are Pestin, Pestinn, Pestman, Pestab.

Just remember, while IMO this game is still the best MMO out there... the UI is not and can take some time to get used to. As a matter of fact, it might be difficult to bounce between it and WoW... at least frustrating. Of course I'm very used to it now.

I hope to see you soon. What class is Breles? I'll make someone who can tag along with him. We can also make him nice gear when he levels a tad.

Some items of note:
-On this server, all newbies start in Mularn. The beginner quests are good for the first 5 or 6 levels... then most quests are worthless. This is not a quest driven game... you have to grind. I can run through those quests with you if you like.
- You start out in a beginner guild which is actually pretty nice for asking questions and stuff. All of our guys are still in it. Though I might want to start OOP sometime.

You've changed your naming scheme...

I chose some blue race, I don't remember the name. I think I went with a shaman, but I clicked through it pretty quickly to make sure it was going to work. Any class you would recommend? I remember that there was a lot of grinding in the game to get to the high levels, does this version include any instanced (i.e. safe area) stuff or is that one of the expansions this server doesn't support?

I noticed that there was guild chat when I logged in and it freaked me out a little, good to know it's normal.

Tricia and I are going to happy hour tonight, but we should be home around 6:30 or so. I'll probably have some time slots over the weekend, depending on what all we do with Becca.

I cant tell what you guys are playing again? WOW or Vangard?
iM still on WOW about to be 80 on my rogue.
That will make three 80's with 2 more in late 70's. Im trying to decide what to play next. I have Hunter, DK, Rogue, Mage, Druid, what next? Maybe level 36 pally ? I just cant decide. Or should i go to another game until next year when the big big cataclysmic changes happen to azeroth.

I'm currently playing WoW, mostly on the Daggerspine server and occasionally on Shadowsong, with my wife. I've also just started playing some Dark Ages of Camelot with Ed (Germ) and his son Drew, it's free and that fits the budget nicely. My highest level on Daggerspine is like 72 (Deathknight) with a 68ish priest that I duo with Tricia, I have a couple on Shadowsong that are 73 (Hunter) and 80 (Mage). I've duo'd some as a Pally as well and really have enjoyed it.

Hey, J-man... nope, I've been a little busy the past couple of weeks while my step daughter visited for spring break as well as dorking around a little in DAoC with Ed (got 2 level 5's atm, I rock)... Any reason you're asking, or just general interest?

Glad to know that Ant still exists on Shadowsong, with all the reports of hacked accounts and such, you had me worried. Are you still actively playing on that server? What (if anything) do you think of the PVP reward changes? Neither Tricia nor I have cashed any in since we started, so our total honor doubled when we turned it in.

I like that they got rid of marks..having to collect those was annoying on SS. We never won shit so it was always 1 mark...took for ever toget any where. But I haven't really messed with the pvp stuff to much lately honestly. Oh and yeah I'm still playing on SS. My school schedule has changed tho and its odd hours again.. no raiding for me atm...

Some sad news for Ope's favorite game... (below was posted on Blues News). SOmeone in the comments suggested the new server should be called "Oblivion"...

Vanguard Servers to Merge [10:36 am ET]

Sony Online Entertainment announces they plan to consolidate Vanguard: Saga of Heroes onto a single server, with the three US Telon servers to be merged on July 7 followed in August by the assimilation of the Halgar server as well. Word is: "It is our hope that this integration will result in a more consistent and higher player population which will, in turn, lead to an even more enjoyable and beneficial player experience." They are offering players the chance to vote on the name of the new single server.

Actually most of the online talk is favorable. I am looking forward to it even though the population of Seradon is pretty high as it is and I belong to a very active guild. I figure VG will be around long enough for me to wait for Rifts.
